Faye Nelson

Faye Nelson, age 68 of Roberts WI, died on Friday, March 18, 2011 at United Hospital in Saint Paul MN. Faye was born November 18, 1942 in Hudson WI to parents Milo Dale and Elizabeth Susie (Lewis) Wilcoxson. Faye attended schools in Hudson, and graduated Hudson High School with the Class of 1960. On June 30, 1962, Faye would be united in marriage to Dennis Roger Nelson at the United Methodist Church in River Falls. Their union in marriage would be blessed with four children, and over 48 years of love, and laughter, and family.

Faye worked many years as a claims specialist with State Farm Insurance, and especially enjoyed working as a bookkeeper and receptionist with the River Falls Journal and the Hudson Star-Observer. As a loving matriarch, her family was always near and dear to her heart. Faye took great pride in being a great homemaker, and in doing so, became an even better wife, mom and grandma. Faye enjoyed cooking, baking, and growing vegetables and flowers in her garden. She also made time for card club, volunteering at the St. Croix Central Middle School as well as at Treasures of the Heart, and being an active member of the Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ. Whether remembering a special occasion, sending a note of thanks, or simply making others feel special, Faye had a special knack for sending all kinds of cards to family, friends, and community neighbors alike. Faye knew how to make others feel loved, and that love will be missed dearly by those who knew her best.

Faye is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis; her children, son Darrell and his daughters Tracy and Jenny, son Steve (Roxy) and their children Corynne and Logan, daughter Denise (Aaron) Scott and their children Ella and Audra, and son Tony (Angie) and their children Allyson and Adam; her mother, Beth Linehan; mother-in-law, June Nelson; siblings, Clair (Donna) Wilcoxson, Neil Wilcoxson, Vera (Charles) Grant, and Paul (Arlyss) Wilcoxson; brother-in-law Dan (Jacque) Nelson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
