Karla Annette Polansky, age 71, of Rush City MN and formerly of Hudson WI, passed away on March 31, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Rush City. She was born on October 14, 1939 in Wisconsin Rapids WI, the daughter of Karl F. and Margaret (Oleson) Schmidt. Karla attended grade school in Nekoosa, WI and was a graduate of Hudson High School.

Karla was a school bus driver for the Hudson School District for about 20 years. Following her retirement in 2006, she moved to Rush City MN. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, sewing and reading. She was an avid football fan, especially of the Packers, and loved to cheer on her grandchildren in their sports. She will be greatly missed.

Karla will remain in the hearts of her sons, John (Janice) Bosman of Rush City MN and Joseph (Lisa) Bosman of Hudson WI; seven grandchildren: John Jr., Jacob, Justin, Alexandra, Holden, Kelsey and Erin; sister, Margaret “Mimi” Kuss of Maine; extended family and friends.

A private, family memorial gathering was held and she will be privately interred at the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. Cremation services were entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory, 715-386-3725.
