Michael James Goodrich, age 53 of Emerald WI, died on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Mike was born February 7, 1960 in Saint Paul MN to parents Ernest M. and Rose M. (Soler) Goodrich. Mike graduated from North Senior High in North Saint Paul MN. After high school, Mike enlisted, and served his country in the United States Army.

Mike worked in construction, where he installed siding and did all kinds of handyman work. He was a “Mr. Fixit” type, who enjoyed woodworking, his four wheelers, and small engine repair. Pairing those talents along with his creative skills, Mike could build, or repair, most anything. Mike loved to grow vegetables in his garden, and enjoyed both sharing, and canning, his crop. Just this past season, he was proud of his pumpkin patch, and enjoyed giving pumpkins to his nieces and nephews. If he wasn’t gardening, their “uncle Mike” was the family entertainer, performing magic tricks and playing games with family and friends alike. He cherished his time spent with family, especially the two generations of nieces and nephews, who loved him very much. For those who knew Mike, remember as he would say, “Love Ya”.

Mike is survived by his dad, Ernie Goodrich; his mom, Rose (Clarence) Seidling; his brother, Terry (Barb) Goodrich; his sisters, Kathy (Rick Budd) Peterson, Joanne Goodrich, Karen Smith, and Linda Knyphausen; nieces, Chastity, Sara, Danielle, and Laura; nephews, Ryan, Corey, Chad, Brian, Michael, and Joey; 8 grandnieces and grandnephews; close friend, Karla Malean; as well as other family and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his step-mom, Joan Goodrich; and his beloved dogs Mystic and Casino.

A Memorial Celebration of Life for Mike Goodrich will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S 11th Street, in Hudson. Visitation will begin at 9:00am. Burial with full military honors will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area 4 at 12:30pm. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI. 715-386-3725
