Virginia Rae Moulton age 78 of Baldwin died Wednesday October 2, 2013 at Red Cedar Canyon Assisted Living in Hudson. Virginia was born on August 21, 1935 in Austin, Minnesota; the daughter of Hugh and Vivian (Yates) Walton. She was raised in Mahtomedi where she attended school prior to graduating from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1953. She would further her education at Miller Hospital in St. Paul where she received her LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). She thoroughly enjoyed nursing as she worked for Miller Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital in the Twin Cities. She would also work for Dr. Gray Reif in White Bear Lake. On July 29, 1958, she was married to James Belland. Together, they raised their children Nanette, Jackie, Janine, Paul, Ed, and Russell. This union would later dissolve. On July 11, 1974, she was united in marriage to Dale Moulton. She continued working as a LPN for Baldwin and Amery Hospitals. She was a stellar example of faith, family and friend. She loved every part of being a mom; from sewing, baking/cooking, and gardening. She also enjoyed bowling and music.
Virginia will be fondly remembered by her children: Nanette (Ralph) Biniek of Baldwin, Jackie (Mark) Braun of Lino Lakes, MN, Janine (Gary) Newton of Baldwin, Paul (Colleen) Belland of Beldenville, Ed Belland of Medina, MN, Russell (Carrie) Belland of Hudson, Dan (Sandra) Moulton of Apple Valley, Julie (Bob) Kuntzendorf of Tennessee, Jon (Marie Eggler) Moulton of Baldwin; daughters-in-law, Pauline Moulton and Yvonne Belland; grandchildren, Lucas, Kenny, Carrie (Nate), Josh (Emily), Jenna (Scott), Adam, Michael, Emily, Sarah, Stephanie (Grant), Nicholas, Brody, Mady, Easton, Derek (Sierra), Kyle, Shelby, Siera, Billy, Derek, Justin (Brooke); great grandchildren, Jameson, Gabe, Evan; sisters, Phyllis Hanson of St. Paul, Jane (Jim) Leroux of Hugo and Joyce Roatch of Stillwater; and brother, Dale Walton of Florida. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; brother, Hugh Walton Jr.; step sons, Rick and Jim Moulton.
Funeral services for Virginia will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 7th at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Baldwin with Pastor Carrie Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Baldwin Cemetery with her grandsons serving as active casketbearers and grand daughters as honorary. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin and one hour prior to the service at church on Monday morning. Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
