Nora Markowski

Nora Jean (Cram) Markowski, age 80, of Hudson, WI, died on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Nora was born on October 27, 1932 to Glen and Mildred (Douscette) Cram in Ladysmith, WI. She was a graduate of Ladysmith High School. She worked as a dietary aid with the Hudson Hospital for 26 years prior to retiring. On September 3, 1955, she married Anthony Markowski. They were blessed with three children; Janice, Joanne, and Thomas. Some of Nora’s happiest moments were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She volunteered at St. Pat’s school and in scouts when her children were young. Nora was a member of the the Parish Council of Catholic Women at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She loved to host family events, as well as 4th of July celebrations. Nora also enjoyed bowling and travelling south in the winter to Orange Beach, Alabama.

Nora is survived by her; husband, Anthony; children, Janice (Bruce) Kramer of Stillwater, Joanne (Joseph) Norell of Hudson and Thomas (Jodi) Markowski of Hudson; nine grandchildren, Peter, Jeff, Matt, Nate, Sarah, Phillip, Theresa (Derek), Amanda and Ben; and great-granddaughter, Cherokee. Nora is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Laurabelle, Glen Jr., Don, and Bev .

Mass of Christian Burial for Nora will be held at 11AM on Monday, October 7 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm followed by a prayer service at 7PM, on Sunday October 6th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, as well as one hour prior to the mass at church Monday morning. Memorials can be donated to the donor’s choosing in Nora’s name. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Hudson Chapel. 715.386.3725
