Lois D. Miller

Lois Dorothy Miller, age 86, of Hudson, was called home on December 22, 2013. Lois was born on November 24, 1927, the daughter of Herman and Hattie (Johnson) Rock. She grew up in the River Falls & Ellsworth Area and graduated from the Ellsworth High School with the class of 1946. She was employed by the Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company and worked in Ellsworth, Eau Claire and Hudson.

In 1953, she was united to William J Miller and left her career to become a homemaker. Her greatest love and accomplishment was her family. She belonged to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Ladies Guild. She was the First Day Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick’s and did day care for two special families.

Lois is survived by two sons, Jim (Candy) Miller and Mike (Liz) Miller, both of Hudson; two daughters. Jeannie (Dean) Bergdahl of North Branch, Minnesota and Faye (John) Coffey of Woodbury, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Elaine; and special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; 5 sisters and 6 brothers.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, December 28, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial will take place at the Willow River Cemetery. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to services at the church as well as from 4-7pm on Friday, December 27 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Hudson Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials given will be donated in Lois’ memory to Adoray Home Health and Hospice as well as other organizations that were dear to her.
