Lucille I. Roth, age 97 of River Falls, WI, formerly of St. Paul, passed away March 13, 2014 at the Hudson Hospital on her birthday surrounded by her loving family.  Lucille was born on March 13, 1917 to Nels and Alfena (Hefty) Nelson in Belmond, IA.  She was united in marriage on July 8, 1950 to Walter Roth in Hudson.  Outside of caring for her family, Lucille worked as a radio assembler at a factory in St. Paul for many years.  

Lucille always looked forward to her trips to the casino and was fond of the socializing that was a part of those adventures.  She enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness of sitting on the porch, sipping wine, putting together puzzles and playing solitaire.  Lucille kept active with her family, socializing, ironing and housekeeping up until this past year.  She cherished the relationships she had with her great granddaughter, Kaylyn and her granddaughter, Charm, always letting them know she was their biggest fans.

Lucille will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Alfena “Pat” (Don) Anderson and Yoland Urquhart; daughter-in-law, Esther Immer; her granddaughter and special caregiver for the last 17 1/2 years, Katie (Alan) Moffat; great granddaughter, Kaylyn; many other loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She will also be dearly missed by her best buddies, her dogs, Molly and Carmel- who loved her unconditionally.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; son, Harry Immer; grandson, David Muniz; son-in-law, Larry Urquhart; nine siblings; and her parents.  

A Celebration of Lucille’s Life will take place 11:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service.  Lucille will be interred with her husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  Funeral services have been entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson (715) 386-3725.
