Norma Cook, age 76 of Hammond WI and formerly of St. Paul MN, died on Friday morning, April 4, 2014 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond. Norma was born January 28, 1938 in Prescott WI to parents Floyd and Margaret (Dixon) Severson. She attended school in Prescott, and graduated from Prescott High School. She was united in marriage to Duane Allen Cook on March 9, 1957. Their union in marriage would be blessed with seven children, and over 57 years of love and devotion

Norma was a homemaker, and loved her time spent with her children and grandchildren, and the laughter and silliness that came with. Norma loved soap operas, chocolate treats, garage sales, planting flowers on her deck, and the peacefulness of relaxing in her chair. She adored her pets, especially her dogs that made her happy.

Norma is survived by her husband of 57 years, Duane; her children, Michael Cook, Ronald Cook, Thomas (Jackie) Cook, Peggy (Rick) Holden, Diana (Rita) Cook, and Donald (Sandy) Cook; eighteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Rose) Severson, Donald (Joy) Severson, Diane (Fred) Haverlandt, and Webb “Wilbur” (Denise) Severson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia; and her parents.

A Time of Remembrance and Sharing for Norma Cook will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin.
