Susan Jane Obermueller, age 60 of Hudson, passed away December 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.  Susan was born September 12, 1954 in Hudson, the daughter of George and Colleen (Connell) Schneider.  Sue graduated from Hudson High School, the Class of 1972.  She furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a business degree.  After college, Sue worked at ITT Life Insurance.  Sue was united in marriage to James Obermueller on September 3, 1977.  Their marriage was blessed with two children, Stacy Joann and Michael George.   She then began her career at Andersen Windows, retiring after 32 years of employment.  She was proud to be a member of the Quarter Century Club with Andersen Windows.  

Most important to Susan was her family, she cherished every moment she had with them.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandma.  Sue enjoyed traveling, with one of her favorite destinations being the Grand Canyon.  Susan was a dedicated former member of the United Way – St. Croix Valley.  

Susan will remain in the hearts of her husband of 37 years, Jim; daughter, Stacy Williams of Hudson; son, Michael (Manessah) of Hudson; granddaughters, Olivia and Maya Williams; sisters, Kathy Crawford of Hudson, Marjorie (Mark) Andrea of Spooner and Beth (Greg Kaasa) Schneider of Hudson; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo (Eric) DeSilva of Taunton, MA and Kathy (Brian) Gardner of Hudson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, December 12 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM.  In Susan’s name, memorials are preferred to the United Way of St. Croix Valley.
