Debbie G. Boumeester (nee Rose)

Debra Gail “Deb” Boumeester, age 58 of Minnetonka, MN, died February 10, 2015 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN following a hard fought battle with heart and kidney complications.

Deb was born May 24, 1956 in Hudson, WI, the daughter of Richard and Marceline (Wintermeyer) Rose. She grew up in Hudson with her 12 siblings, graduating from Hudson High School, the Class of 1975. Deb was united in marriage to Jeff Boumeester on April 18, 1975 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Jason and Jessica. Deb raised their two children, owned and operated Sunsational Tanning Salon and also worked as a pastry chef at the Truffles and Tortes Bakery.

Deb loved spending time her family. She coached her son’s Little League and Babe Ruth level baseball teams, and was the first woman to coach the Minnetonka All-Star Team. Deb attended every school event, baseball, softball, and hockey game to support her children; she continued to do so for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Deb was a very witty lady and was often the entertainment for every family gathering and “sister weekend.” Each Christmas she spent an entire month baking delicious goodies to share with family and friends. Besides her deep love for family, Deb had a love for everything Disney. She collected anything Disney or Mickey Mouse related; and enjoyed any opportunity to spend time at the parks in Florida and California.
