Jeanette Peulen, age 89 of Hudson, died Tuesday, November 17th 2015 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Jeanette was born on August 9, 1926 in North Hudson, the daughter of Leo and Inga (Peterson) Muckenhirn. Being raised in Hudson, she graduated from Hudson High School in 1944. As a young lady, she worked for MA Bell in Hudson prior to meeting William Peulen. They would marry April 30, 1954 at Bethel Lutheran in Hudson. This union would be blessed with two sons, Joe and Will. Once her sons were grown, she began working for 3M in St. Paul as a teletype operator, where she worked for over ten years.

Jeanette was a very simple person. She enjoyed walks with friends, and a good book. Later in life, she had fun rooting for her favorite sports team or a quick run to the casino. She loved music. She sang for many weddings, the Bethel Choir, and tried her hand at piano. Her favorite was Frank Sinatra, music of the era.

Jeanette is survived by her sons, Joe Peulen of California, and Will Peulen of North Hudson; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; siblings:  Mary Jane, Virgil, Virginia, and Les.

A Memorial service for Jeanette Peulen will be 1:00 pm Friday,  November 20th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at O’Connell’s Friday morning. Private interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery in Bayport. Memorials are preferred.
