Rick J. Borowicz of New Richmond WI, died at the age of 59 on May 17, 2016. Rick was born February 5, 1957 in Karlstad MN to parents Thomas and Joann (Donarski) Borowicz. Rick moved with his family to Bloomington, where he would graduate from Bloomington Kennedy High School with the Class of 1975. Rick would be united in marriage to Shirley Diedrich on July 31, 1982 in Parkers Prairie MN. Their union in marriage would be blessed with three children, nine grandchildren, and over 33 years.
Rick started Concrete Pumping Service Inc. in 1986 in Lakeville MN, and from there, moved his family to Walker MN to start Walker D&P Redi Mix. They then moved to the Baldwin WI area, where R&S Concrete Pumping Inc. was then started. Rick loved to watch a building start from the ground up, drive by once it was finished, and know that he was a part of it! Rick enjoyed motorcycle riding, and excavating. Rick loved everything in life. He was always laughing, and he loved to make people laugh. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends alike.
Rick is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley; his children, Sara (Nic) Borowicz-Borgmann, Adam (Abbey), and Nathan (Katie); grandchildren, Harley Jo, Jagger, Presley Sue, Ricky Lu, Avery, Owen, Alivia, Austin, and Adam Ollie; his mother, Joann Borowicz; brothers, Bradley, Jerry (Renee), Steve (Kathy), and Scott (Angie); nieces and nephews, Tom, Samantha, Dillon, Matthew, Colton, Courtney, Cassie, Taylor, Troy, Travis, Cole, Alyssa; great-nephews, Blake and Aiden; as well as numerous friends. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Borowicz.
To honor the life of Rick Borowicz, a gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin WI. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family, and will be used for a trust established for Rick’s grandchildren.
