Pauline Siegersma

Pauline Siegersma, age 84, was called by her Lord Jesus Christ to her heavenly home on May 28, 2017 after a brief stay at Parkview Care Center in Woodville, WI.

Pauline was born at home, in Baldwin, WI, on April 9, 1933, to Isaac and Mathilda (TeGrootenhuis) Meyer. She attended the one room Baldwin Christian Elementary School, 2 years of Baldwin High School, and then returned home to help her family. She was married to the love of her life, Ronald Ray Siegersma on Dec. 22, 1953, at the Baldwin Christian Reformed Church. She then followed her husband to Nellis AFB in January, 1954. Sue, the first of 5 children, was born during this assignment. In 1957, the family returned to settle in Baldwin, WI. Four more children were born in Baldwin, Bruce, Sharon, Lisa, and Joel.

Pauline was a wonderful example of a quiet, but powerful, woman who loved God with all her heart. She cared for her own children, and many others, with great love, mercy, and grace throughout the years. The Baldwin Christian Reformed Church has been her church family for most of her life. Pauline faithfully showed her love for God by helping others in practical ways. She served on the Auxiliary of the Gideons for over 40 years, organizing and helping in the distribution of New Testaments to nurses throughout the county. Also, assisting Ron for 45 years as they ministered together at the St Croix County Health Center, was an important part of her life. Pauline lovingly cared for and ministered to the young and the old. Unbeknownst to her, she became a mentor to those who loved to spend time with her. With her unselfish and humble heart, the impact of her life remains. Prov. 31:30 A woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.

Pauline deeply loved and looked forward to her time with family and friends. She understood the power of prayer and others often called her to share their needs. She met with Moms in Touch (Prayer) for the past 12+ years to pray for the children and youth of the local schools, and their own children.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ron; 5 children, Sue (Glenn) Kennedy of Okinawa, Japan, Bruce (Penny) Siegersma of Baldwin, WI, Sharon (Richard) Marr of Atlanta, GA, Lisa (Marc) Quaglio of Portland, Oregon, and Joel (Amy) Siegersma of Portland, Oregon; 18 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Benjamin (Jillian), Caleb, Josiah (Ann), Daniel (Lisa), Merci, Esther and Elizabeth Kennedy, Rick (Alyssa) and Rob (Holly) Spear, Rick Marr, Shannon (Jason) Bartlett, Hannah, Rebekah, Joshua and Samuel Quaglio, Danika Siegersma, Cody and Dustin Bittner; great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, Kylie, Madelyn and Cullin Kennedy, Skyler Seviola, Quinton, Jackson and Willow Marr, James and William Bartlett; sisters in law, Dorothy Meyer and Petronella Meyer; plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
