Gladys Iverson (Ambourn)

Gladys Ambourn Iverson, age 100 of Woodville, died on October 17, 2017 at Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin. Gladys was born on March 1, 1917 to Arthur and Caroline Olson in St. Paul, MN. She was raised in St. Paul where she attended school. She would be united in marriage to Gordon Ambourn. This union would be blessed with 2 children; Carol and Neil.  Gladys was active in the community by being involved in Red Hat Ladies, Legion Auxillary, Zion Lutheran Church Circle, and the Park View Guild. She would later marry Harold Iverson of Woodville. He would also precede her in death.  Gladys spent her winters Texas for many years avoiding the cold harsh weather of the north. She loved to travel and explore what the world had to offer. Gladys enjoyed a good old fashioned card game and was an avid dancer. She cherished having parties with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Carol (Jim) Friday; son, Neil (Cathie) Ambourn; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Joye Ambourn.

She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Ambourn; first husband, Gordon Ambourn; and second husband, Harold Iverson.

A memorial service for Gladys will be 11AM Monday, October 30th at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials preferred. Funeral services and cremation entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
