Gordon “Gordy” Robert Anderson, age 87 of Hudson, WI, passed away November 1, 2017 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, due to complications from a recent stroke.

Gordy was born February 19, 1930, in Rice Lake, WI, to Oscar and Marie Anderson. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Jean, for 69 years. They were blessed with three sons and a daughter. Gordy had a 39 year career with Northern States Power and retired as District Manager. He was active in his community, enjoyed woodworking, and was happiest at family gatherings.

Gordy is survived by his loving wife, Jean; three sons, Ron (Patty), Jeff (Pam), and Brad (Robin); eight grandchildren, Jenni, Erik, Ian, Christy, Jake, Kelsey, Ashley, and Amanda; and nine great-grandchildren, Hayden, McKenna, Claire, Audrey, Harper, Rowen, Owen, Will and Alexandra. He is preceded in death by a beautiful, talented, and loving daughter, Lynda; great-grandson, Carter; his parents; brother, DeWayne; and sisters, Helen and Dorothy.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 6, 2017 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 14107 S. Hudson Rd., Afton, MN, with Pastor Steven Kramer officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials preferred.
