Nancy Cramer (Nee Cudd)

Nancy Lynn Cramer Age 62 North Hudson died unexpectedly December 30, 2017 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul following an acute illness. Nancy was born on November 15, 1955 in River Falls, Wisconsin; the daughter of Eugene and Clarice (Hanvelt) Cudd. The family lived in River Falls where she attended elementary school prior to moving to Hudson where she graduated from Hudson High School. She would be united in marriage to Robert Cramer on August 6, 1974 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson. This union would be further blessed with two daughters; Abby and Jessie. Earlier in life, she began working at Andersen Windows in their personnel department. She would take a leave to raise her children but return later working assembling windows when they were older.

Nancy loved being a mom more than anything. She was so proud of her girls and watching them mature into young ladies. More importantly, she took great pleasure in being their friends. As a family, they had so much fun boating and camping on the St. Croix River. She was the glue to the family excursions. If a fun time was brought up it was Nancy that made it happen. Parties, boating, downhill skiing gave Nancy the greatest smile’s. More recently, the sound of a wind chime or the elegance of a red cardinal brought her peace with memories of Bob who preceded her in death. Moreover, her love for him was always illuminated with many solar lights in her yard or at the cemetery. Although her passing leaves a great void, her reuniting with Bob leaves us with a smile. She simply loved being surrounded by those she loved, family and friends. Late nights with playing dice or aggravation created special times. Her favorite friends, the “hooligans”, held a special place in her heart and there Wednesday get together’s will never be the same. But most of all, the apple in her eye was her grandkids. It gave her the greatest joy to watch them learn to ride a bike or have a nerf gun fight in the house.

Nancy will forever be remembered in the hearts of her daughters Jessie (Matt) Parker of Somerset, Abby (Jason) Glaeser of Waconia; grandchildren Hunter and Tyler; siblings Steve (Gail) Cudd of Tomahawk Wisconsin, Debbie (Don Johnson) Cudd of Viola, Wisconsin, Julie (Neil) Ribar of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Becky (Wayne) Koepke, of Hudson, Mary Morgan of Hudson, Jenny (Fred) Hauser of Hudson, many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends. She joins in the heavens her parents, her husband Bob, and brother-in-law Ben Morgan.

A celebration of life for Nancy will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson with a prayer service to conclude the evening at 8 PM. The interment with her husband will be in the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
