Glenn A. Waltz

Glenn Alan Waltz, age 64 of Roberts, passed away July 17, 2018 at his home after a long, hard fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. 

Glenn was born on September 30, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI to Hubert and Olive (Morton) Waltz. He graduated from Menomonee Falls East High School in 1971,  and continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Glenn was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Balestrieri on August 12, 1972 at the House of Prayer in Milwaukee, WI., and the couple were blessed with a son. Glenn was an hard working farmer, fur trader, and entropnenur. He was the owner of Waltz Farms Produce, and sold the produce he grew from trucks and farm stands in Hudson, and across the region. He also opened North Central Fur, which became Minneskonsin Glove Co., which buys and trades deer hides and furs to make their own products. 

Glenn was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, especially for bears in Canada; and going on his annual spring fishing trip to Canada with his son. Glenn loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers. He also previously served as a deacon at the Communion of Saints Church in River Falls. 

Glenn will remain in the heart of his beloved wife of 45 years, Gwen; his son, Glenn; granddaughter, Ella; brother, Randy (Wendy); sister-in-law, Haite Waltz; father-in-law, Tony Balestrieri; brother-in-law, Tommy (Nadine) Balestrieri; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph; mother-in-law, Joanne Balestrieri; sister-in-law, Carolyn Essmann; and brother-in-law, Tony Balestrieri. 

A Memorial Service for Glenn will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Harvestime Outreach Church, 498 Jacobs Lane, Hudson, WI. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Warren Cemetery in Roberts.
