Michael Flattum

Michael Craig Flattum, age 65, of Hudson, Wisconsin unexpectedly passed away on May 20, 2020 in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Michael was born on March 14, 1955 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Robert H. and Yvonne Jean Flattum (nee Larson).

Michael had many passions in his life. Michael had a deep appreciation for music and CB radio, and made sure his schedule always accommodated his favorite show: General Hospital. He was also very proud of his volunteer work with the Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department which he worked with for over twenty-five years.

Michael will remain in the hearts of his siblings, Jon (Wanda) Flattum, Robert (MaryLou) Flattum, Nancy (Jim) Waskow, Robyn (Terry) Schwartz; sister-in-law, Audrey (David) Flattum and all of his beloved nieces, nephews and friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Yvonne Flattum and his brothers, Rod (Margie) and David. His grandparents were the late Gust and Martha (Gregerson) Flattum of Hudson and Rueben and Vivian (Eaton)Larson of New Richmond.

He was a great grandson of August “Gus” Larson (1863-1934), Sheriff of St. Croix County for five terms during the first two decades of the 20th Century.

Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family. Private graveside services will be in the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
