Helen Tracy, age 92 of Hudson, WI, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2021 at Pillars Hospice in Oakdale. Helen was born in Superior, WI, on October 2, 1929 to parents John and Otylia (Sheridan) Najt. She grew up on the family farm and attended Superior High School before moving to Minneapolis where she worked at the phone company and lived with girlfriends. She married John Tracy in 1949 shortly after his return from the Navy. They built their home in Bloomington, MN and raised five children.

Helen was a dedicated mom and enjoyed baking and sewing clothes for herself and the family.  She enjoyed sitting out in the sun and she loved to swim. Helen worked part time several years at Sears and retired at 70. In her later years watching the birds and tending to her flower garden gave her joy. This is also when she began to dress up for Halloween and take great care to create surprise costumes at our family gathering.

Her family was very important to her and she treasured the time she got to spend with her grandchildren. She had a knack for sending out the best cards for any occasion, personalizing to the recipient.

She will be greatly missed by her children Pauline Tracy, Laura (Jim) Butler, Ward (Terri) Tracy, and Natalie (Breck) Stovern; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John, son John, and siblings Ruth and Charlie.

Private family service will be held Saturday, 10/23 at Bethel Lutheran of Hudson.  Memorials are preferred to Lutheran World Relief.
