James M Hackenmueller “Hack” passed away unexpectedly in Hudson, WI on March 15, 2022. He was born June 14th, 1958, to Jerome and Joyce Hackenmueller in Minneapolis Minnesota. James was the youngest of 3 children, Jeff Hackenmueller and Janice Youngberg.  James married his loving wife Sandra Hackenmueller (Lindus) of 43 years on November 4th, 1978.

James enjoyed spending time with his family and being outside. He had many different jobs over his lifetime, but it all revolved around people. James loved to be around people always trying to make them smile by cracking a joke or just brighten their day with a smile. He would help anyone that he could when he could. James also had many hobbies, he loved gardening, wood working, taking pictures and many more. James most recently enjoyed playing a video game with his grandson Tristyn and cooking special meals for his family.

James and his wife Sandra had 3 children, Roger, Laura, and April. He raised his children with his wife Sandra in Roberts/Hammond, WI. James and his wife Sandra moved to Hudson, WI 3 years ago with their grandson.

James will remain in the Hearts of his wife Sandra; children Roger Lindus, April Hackenmueller (Billy), Laura Leary (James); Father, Jerry Hackenmueller (Lyla); Sister, Janice (Dave) Youngberg; Brother, Jeff (Jill) Hackenmueller; Grandchildren Tristyn Hackenmueller, Dewey Ziemer, Jonathan Ross, Samantha Ross; Brother/Sister-in-laws, Kevin (Emily) Lindus, Greg (Robin) Lindus, Larry Lindus. As well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

James is preceded in death by his Mother Joyce Hackenmueller, Father and Mother-in-law Richard and Virginia Lindus, his Niece Nicole Youngberg, and Great Nephew Dereck Peterson.

A celebration of Hack’s life will be on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
