Wanda Schullo

Wanda Mae Schullo, 80, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died Wednesday, February 9th, at the Christian Community Home.

She was born October 3rd, 1930, in Hudson, the daughter of Ragnvald and Clarice Hansen. She attended grade school in Hudson, and graduated from Hudson High School in 1948.

On November 25, 1960, she was united in marriage with James A. Schullo.

She briefly worked as a secretary for United Refrigerator Company in Hudson. She was then hired as a Telephone Operator at the Wisconsin Telephone office in Hudson. She remained in that position for 15 years until the Hudson office closed in 1977, at which time she chose to retired.

During retirement, she did extensive volunteer work for several local organizations including: Bethel Lutheran Church, the Phipps Center, and Hudson Hospital.

After Jim retired from a long career at Andersen Corporation, they spent several years traveling the country in their RV. They spent most winters traveling the southwest, and greatly enjoyed spending time in Arizona. She loved to visit new locations and meet new people. She also tried to golf in as many different states as possible during their extensive travels.

Preceding her in death were her husband James A. Schullo, and her parents.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Mary) Staberg of Anacortes, WA and Scott Schullo of Cross Plains, WI; two daughters, Deborah Villella of Fargo, ND and Jonelle (Robert) Keene of St Paul, MN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many dear friends.

At her request, no memorial service will be held. Please include her in your thoughts and prayers.

A private burial will be held at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bethel Lutheran Church at 920 3rd St. or the Hudson Area Library Foundation at 700 1st St, both in Hudson, WI 54016.
