Clarence Joseph Robinson, age 79 of Woodville WI, died on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Baldwin Area Medical Center. Joe was born December 28, 1933 in Amarillo TX to parents Logan James and Beatrice Rae (Bolton) Robinson. After graduating high school in Sedalia MO, Joe served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Joe was united in marriage to his loving wife Mary Etta (nee Munson) on August 24, 1963 in Kansas City MO.
Joe furthered his education at University of Central Missouri, earning a BS in Law Enforcement. He went on to earn his Masters degree in Criminal Justice from University of Missouri. Joe retired in January 2000 as the Correctional Facility Night Supervisor from Hennepin County Adult Corrections. Outside of work, Joe enjoyed travel to Europe, coin collecting, golfing, and fishing – especially for Walleye. Joe was also a devoted Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings fan.
Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Etta; daughter, Deborah (Michael) Kingrey of Kansas City MO, grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Kingrey, and great-granddaughter, Hannah Kingrey; son, Steven (Roxanne) Robinson of Woodbury MN, and granddaughter Natalie Robinson; special nephew, James (Anita) Brock of Bloomington MN; brother Cliff (Kathy) Robinson of Brooklyn Park MN; as well as many other relatives and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Edna (nee Piels) Robinson; his brother L.J.; and his sister, Shirley Davis.
Mass of Christian Burial for Clarence Joseph Robinson will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1265 Ridgeway Drive, Hammond WI, with Rev. Fr. Jerald Harris officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at church, and also from 5:00-8:00PM on Wednesday evening at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin WI. Burial with full military honors at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Lane #5 at 12:45PM. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin WI. 715-684-3434
