Betty Edith Englebretson, age 72 of Baldwin WI, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Comforts of Home in Baldwin with her daughter Suzi by her side. Betty was born February 15, 1944 in Eau Claire WI to parents John Henry and Violet Amanda (nee Peterson) Rumphol. Betty attended Chippewa Falls High School, and graduated with the Class of 1962. Betty would be united in marriage to Gary Sukopp. Though their union would later end in divorce, it would be blessed with three children. Betty later remarried to Jimmie Englebretson.

Betty was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. Above all, Betty loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and lived for being a strong presence in the lives of her family. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her children, Sandi (Wes) Dunn of Hyattville WY, Suzi (Rich Sather) Bibeau of Hammond WI, and Scott (Mindy) Sukopp of Chetek WI; step-children, Jarrod (Cheryl) Englebretson of Edina MN, Jason (Gretchen) Englebretson of Hudson WI, Jennifer Englebretson of St. Paul MN, and Jessica (Greg) Weyer of Baldwin WI; six grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; former husband, Gary Sukopp; and many other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Englebretson; her brother, Jerry Rumphol; and her sister, Barb Shane.

A Graveside Service for Betty Englebretson will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 29, 2016 where she will be laid to rest at the Sunset Cemetery in Woodville. Memorials honoring the memory of Betty may be directed to the discretion of the family. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin WI.
