Elaine Irene Radunzel

Elaine Irene Radunzel, age 92 of Baldwin WI, died on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Elaine was born August 9, 1924 in Baldwin WI to parents George and Nellie (Vandenberg) Bosman.  Elaine attended the Sunnyside School, and went to graduate from Baldwin High School with the Class of 1942. She would be united in marriage to Glenn Radunzel on June 21, 1945. Their union in marriage would be blessed with seven children, two generations of grandchildren, and over 65 years of love and devotion.

Elaine was the quintessential farm wife and homemaker, devoting her life to those in her family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. As a member of First Reformed Church, faith also played a vital role in her life. Elaine loved to cook and bake, and her family has many fond memories of Elaine in the kitchen. She also raised a vegetable garden, and did all the canning that comes with. In later years, Elaine loved playing cards and bingo, and crafting as well. Throughout her life, Elaine liked to get “dolled up” and go dancing with Glenn. Elaine embraced her age, and felt blessed to have lived to age 92. Though her family is saddened at her passing, they, too, feel blessed to have had such a wonderful lady in their lives.

Elaine is survived by her children, Roger of Hudson, Kent (Jeri) of Baldwin, Richard (Shauna) of Janesville, Connie Burch of Hudson, Pamela (Gordon) Pribnow of Amery, Lori (Paul) Severson of Zumbrota, and Jeffrey (Heidi) of Seattle; thirteen grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Radunzel; son-in-law, Paul Burch; grandson, Daniel; her parents; and an infant brother.

Funeral Services for Elaine Radunzel will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the First Reformed Church, 1120 11th Avenue in Baldwin WI. Burial will follow at the Baldwin Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church, and also from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, February 14th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin.
