Charles “Chuck” Pahl

Charles E. “Chuck” Pahl age 86 of Watertown, SD, and formerly of Hudson, WI, died on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Sunrise of Golden Valley in Golden Valley, MN. Chuck was born on June 24, 1927 in Trempealeau, Wisconsin; the son of Grant and Jane (Anderson) Pahl. He was raised in Arcadia, Wisconsin where he attended school. As a young man, he enlisted in the Armed Forces where he proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. On March 1, 1951, he was united in marriage to his best friend and soul mate; Joy Louise Larson at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hudson, WI. This union would be blessed with one son Greg. Joy’s parents founded JH Larson Electrical in Hudson. Chuck began working for them and had a very successful career as manager and later President/CEO and Owner. He has remained on the Board of Directors until his passing. In 2001, Chuck received the Golden Jubilee Award, recognizing 50 years of service to the Electrical industry from the North Central Electrical League. Chuck was also very active with NAED, National Association of Electrical Distributors serving as an area Chairman for the local area.

Chuck thoroughly loved the outdoors. Nothing gave him greater pleasure than bird hunting in South Dakota. He loved it so much; that they made their home there. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Furthermore, he was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, Rotary club and a board member for 1st National Bank of Watertown, SD for many years.

Chuck is survived by his son Greg and wife Monica, grandchildren Lucas and Jasmine Pahl, great grandchild Keatan Lemke Pahl. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joy.

Funeral services for Chuck will be hekld at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 25th at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road in Golden Valley, MN. Burial will be in the Warren Cemetery in Roberts, WI. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00-7:00pm, with a Masonic Service at 7:00pm, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday morning. Memorials preferred to Ducks Unlimited. http://www.ducks.org/tributes/CharlesPahl
