Andrew Jennings

Andrew Logan Jennings, age 23 of St. Louis Park, MN, formerly of Spooner, WI, passed away May 23, 2017.  Andrew was born April 1, 1994 in Spooner, WI.  He was welcomed into the world by his loving parents, Martin Joseph and Jennifer Kay (Poshard) Jennings, and big brother, Robert.  Andy was a bright and self motivated child.  He grew up spending time outdoors, and was fond of trees, amphibians, and the family sled dog team.  He delighted in the peacefulness of nature, fishing, and the annual canoe trip around the lake with his dad to hear the calling frogs in springtime.  Like most kids in his generation, he loved playing Xbox and gaming.  He was a hard working student at Spooner High School, where he sang in the Select Choir, and graduated as co-valedictorian of the Class of 2012. His early accomplishments were great, and so were his ambitions.  Andy was very proud to further his education at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Statistics during 2016.  He was excited to take his first job as an analyst with TigerRisk Partners in Edina, MN.

Andrew was shy but had a sense of humor and quick wit that he shared with friends.  His intelligence and gentle nature brought joy to his family.  Andrew is now free from his struggles here on earth, but his memory will remain in the hearts of all who loved him.

Andy is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Martin Jennings of Hudson; brother, Robert Martin Jennings of Plymouth; grandparents, Joanna Kay Poshard of Savoy, IL and Donald J. Jennings of Hickory Hills, IL; aunts and uncles:  Stephanie (Christopher) Eckels, Melissa (Bruce) Kettler, Patricia (Joseph) Comartin, Donna (Thomas Howell) Jennings, Sheila (Ronald) George, and Catherine (James) Melia; as well as many dear cousins.

Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Colonel Robert J. Poshard, United States Army (retired), and Mary Catherine Jennings.

A Memorial Service will take place 11:00 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI.  A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
