Beverly Niemann

Beverly A. Niemann, 72, of Turtle Lake passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her home. She was born July 23, 1940 in Almena, WI to Frank and Millie (Kettel) Gubasta. Bev graduated from Turtle Lake High School, the class of 1958. After high school, Bev worked in the Twin Cities.

She was married at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Almena, WI on April 4, 1959 to Donovan Niemann. Their marriage was blessed with 6 children, Brenda, Craig, Debbie, Jeff, Donn Jason and Lisa. Bev provided for her family as a homemaker for most of her life. She also worked at several businesses in the Turtle Lake area. Bev loved cooking, baking and was known for her potato salad and baked beans. She enjoyed gardening, camping and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler. Bev and Don were fortunate to spend 26 winters vacationing in Mazatlan, Mexico with family and friends. She cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bev had a generous and giving heart and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Donnie of Turtle Lake; 2 sons, Craig (Terri) Niemann of Turtle Lake and Jeffrey (Sheila) Niemann of Turtle Lake; 3 daughters, Brenda (Rick) Danca of Turtle Lake, Debra (Jeff) McAndrew of North Fond du Lac and Lisa (Bill) Benedict of Baldwin; 10 grandchildren, Scott Danca, Jamie Hubbard, Jill Quade, Ashley Campbell, Justin Niemann, Jordan Niemann, Ryan McAndrew, Stephen McAndrew, Marcus Benedict and Gavin Benedict; 5 great grandchildren, Tyler, Mason, Madison, Landon and Ashlyn; 1 brother, Lee Gubasta (Donna) ; 5 sisters, Priscilla (Morris) Bussewitz, Linda Wilson (Joe), Susan (Gene) Danca, Bonnie (Ken) Knight and Carol (Mike) Seiser, and many other loving relatives and dear friends. Bev was preceded in death by an infant son, Donn Jason and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake, WI with Rev. David Emmons officiating. Burial will be in Mt Hope Cemetery, Turtle Lake, WI. Pallbearers are her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Skinner Funeral Home, Turtle Lake and one hour prior to service on Thursday at the church.
