Donna Bosman

Donna Lovina Mae Bosman, age 80 of Baldwin WI, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Baldwin Care Center. Donna was born July 13, 1936 in Fargo ND, the only child of Bill and Lillian (Borgerson) Anderson. Donna’s first seven years were spent living in the Fargo-Moorhead area, where she enjoyed the closeness of both sets of grandparents. She also lived in St. Louis, MO and southern California before relocating to River Falls, WI, where she took a job at the Holmes Cafe. This is where she met her future husband, Harvey. Donna and Harvey married February 3, 1955 in Moorhead, MN (her childhood hometown) in Our Saviors Lutheran Church. They lived in Woodville for 15 years above Harvey’s parents. They were blessed with two children; daughter, Jeri Lynn, and son, Larry Duane (who died unexpectedly of SIDS while in Children’s Hospital awaiting minor surgery). In 1970, the family moved to Baldwin, having purchased the parsonage from the Presbyterian Church. Donna was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church and served as both a deacon and ordained elder. Donna was last employed as Production Control Analyst at Ideal Door in Baldwin for 15 years.

Donna loved to write and had a “special” way with words. She was published in dozens of magazines, in a book of collective stories, and in numerous newspapers in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. She was also a freelance writer for the Baldwin Bulletin and Woodville Leader. Her writing embraced both craft designing and feature stores, including those of area residents. Donna also like writing poetry about life and taught a writing class at the Baldwin High School.

Donna loved people and wanted to help them whenever she felt they need a shoulder to cry on, or someone just to talk to, and she “always” had advice to give them. She was always making a hot dish to give to those who had just lost a loved one and brownies to the village guys, library, and the Baldwin Care Center, where her husband Harvey resided.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Jeri (Kent) Radunzel of Baldwin; grandsons, Tracy of Mondovi, Todd (Marisela) of Baldwin; great-grandson, Aiden of Menomonie; great-granddaughter, Krystal of Hudson; many nieces, nephews and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; son, Larry; parents, Bill and Lillian Anderson; mother and father-in-law, Gerhard and Ellen (Krugerud) Bosman; brother-in-law, Walter (Jean) Bosman; sisters-in-laws, Gladys (Dale) Brorson, Irene (Stanley) Larson; and grand daughter-in-law, Kelly.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 19, 2016 at First United Presbyterian Church, 1650 8th Ave., Baldwin, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Woodville following the service. Pallbearers assisting with the services are: Kent Radunzel, Tracy Radunzel, Todd Radunzel, Aiden Radunzel, Harold Bishop and Vincent Randall.
