Joseph Clennon

Joseph Lloyd Clennon, age 72, of Hammond, WI passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2022 near Gordon, WI.   Joe was born on July 11, 1950 to Lloyd and Helen Clennon in New Richmond, WI and was raised on his Erin Prairie family farm established by Irish-immigrant Great-grandfather David Clennan in 1875.  Joe purchased the family farm from his mother in 1981 and married the love of his life, Debra Clennon, in the same year.  During the following two years, the joys of his life, sons David and Michael were born.

Joe worked at Anderson Windows following high school graduation then proudly spent the next 40 years milking cows and developing a registered holstein herd.  In 2019, Joe sold his Holstein cows and continued growing farm crops and supplemented his bovine-love with a small beef herd.

During his semi-retirement Joe was able to enjoy spending time with his 5 cherished grandchildren (who kept him very busy), 4-wheeling, side-by-side day and weekend trips, cabin relaxation, and farm-talk visits with many friends.  He loved tractors, old-fashioned Westerns, wrestling, and of course the Green Bay Packers.

Joe will forever remain in the hearts of his beloved wife Debra Clennon; children David (Elizabeth) Clennon and Michael Clennon; grandchildren Mara, Teresa, Mason, Colton, and Knox Clennon; his brother Donald (Karen) Grossaint; Brother-in-laws John Dalton, Steve (Sandy) Dalton, Tom (Terry) Dalton and Dave Dalton, Sister-in-law Julie Dalton, and  many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Helen Clennon; his in-laws Jack and Kary Dalton, sister-in-law Jeannie Dalton; and his best friend, his German Shepherd Spike.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Joe’s life will be on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, WI from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.   Private Burial to take place at a later time.
