Thomas Clark Sr.

Thomas Lester Clark Sr., age 74, of Roberts and Renville, MN, died October 9, 2022, at his home. Tom was born on November 15, 1947 in East St. Paul to Lester and Irene (Swanson) Clark. He graduated from North St. Paul High School. Tom was united in marriage to Veronica Ramirez on August 24, 1968 at Cross Lutheran Church in St. Paul, and the couple was blessed with four boys, Thomas Jr., Jon, Steven, and Michael. He was a good father and by example taught his sons about toughness and the ability to persevere. Tom was highly skilled and knowledgeable in all his pursuits and worked a longtime in construction, engineering and maintenance. He enjoyed showing off his 1937 Pontiac at car shows and attending the MSRA Back to the 50’s Weekend where he often got a chance to catch up with old friends. Tom was a skilled builder and woodworker and won several ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair for things he had made. He was a big kid at heart and loved his many basset hounds, telling jokes and pulling pranks on family and friends.

Tom will remain in the hearts of his sons, Tom Clark Jr. (Jenny Stack), Jon Clark, Steven (Kayla) Clark, and Michael (Tasha) Clark; grandchildren, Marcus, Anthony, Vanessa, Katie, Alli, Micah, Amirra, Samuel, and Roman; great grandchildren, Eliana, Gabriella, and Mila; siblings, Robert Johnson, and Kathy (Jim) Satersmoen; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica; his parents, Lester and Irene Clark; sisters, Doris (Roy) Derickson, and Lois (Jim) Jocham; and all his beloved basset hounds.

A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S, 11th St., Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held from 2:30-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment at the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
