Sandra K. Vance

Sandra K. Vance, age 76, of North St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away of Alzheimer’s, with her family by her side at Comforts of Home in River Falls, Wisconsin.

Sandy was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin on April 18, 1946, to Charles and Elsie (Jonas) Lee.  She was a graduate of Johnson High School in St. Paul, Minnesota and was united in marriage to Cliff Vance on June 20, 1964 and together they raised two daughters.

It was truly the simple things in life that made Sandy the happiest.  She loved to travel and yet treasured her quiet time on the porch reading a good book or listening to music.  She valued their peaceful family time at the cabin in Webster, Wisconsin but also appreciated a quick stop to the casino on the way there.  If the cards weren’t in her favor or the slots were cold, there was always fish to catch.

Family was everything to Sandy.   She was there for everything her girls were involved with.  When she became a grandma, she did the same for her grandchildren.  She understood it takes a village to raise a family and took pride in being able to be “daycare” for all of her grandkids.

Sandy will forever be missed by her husband, Cliff; daughters, Kelly (Pat) Schnobrich, Kim (Jim) Verhulst; grandchildren Kaitlin (Neil), Jeff, Alex (Alli), Kelsie (Jacob), Nicholas (Olivia), Sophie and Ty; great-grandchild, Elise; sister, Shelly (Duff) Krueger and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Sandy is preceded in death by her father Charles Lee; mother Elsie (Arty) Weber, and sister Linda.

A Celebration of Life for Sandy will be held on November 19, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Famous Daves + Cowboy Jacks, 1690 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125.  Arrangements are entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Homes of River Falls, Wisconsin.
