Steven Charles Banyai, 55, of Emerald, Wis, died unexpectedly on November 1, 2022, at his home.

Steve was born on March 31, 1967, to Louis and Barbara (Brefczynski) Banyai in Medford, Wis. He attended school and graduated from Spokane High School in Spokane, WA. with the class of 1979. A while after his high school graduation, Steve enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he was a Diesel Mechanic for four years. After the Army, he settled down in Emerald, Wis., and would work in twin cities area as a general laborer for the Union.

During his free time, he would ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hang out with his friends, and go on biking trips. If you didn’t find him on his cycle, you could find him doing another favorite pastime fishing on the water. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.

Steven is preceded in death by his father, Louis; aunts, Susan Ganther and Barbara Wagner. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Banyai; sisters: Trisha Smith and Amy Banyai; brother, Josh (Amy) Banyai; aunts MaryJean Jolley and Betty Anderson; uncle Peter Banyai, nieces & nephews: Trenton, Travis, Marissa, Julieanna, Kaianna, Arieanna; and other cousins, relatives and friends.
