Age 76, of Ellsworth , Wis., died Friday, Dec. 27th, 2013 from renal failure at his home surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Red Wing, Minn., on July 18, 1937. He was the son of Lee and Virgil (Kline) Kenall. He was a 1955 graduate of Ellsworth High School and graduated from University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1959. On Aug. 29, 1959, he married Marlys (Marcy) Post at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Jim taught in both the Ellsworth and Plum City School districts. He also built homes, owned Kenall Brothers Excavation, and Helping Hands Lawn Service. Jim was a member of Hancock Lodge #229 F & AM, Zor Shrine, Madison, Ellsworth Rod and Gun, and the Ellsworth Fire Department. He also served on the Ellsworth Village and School Boards. In his free time Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family.He is survived by his loving wife, Marcy of 54 years; sons, Scott of Ellsworth, and Mark (Brenda) also of Ellsworth; daughters Mary (Gene) Anderson of Winona, Minn., and Ann (Jad) Lunde of Bay City, Wis.; six grandchildren, Marcus, Tyler, Brandon, McKenna, Savanna, and Bryce; and two great-grandchildren, Harperand Daxton; sister, Gayle (Robert) Magee of Prescott; sister-in-law, Barbara of North Palm Beach; Aunt Marge Lemke; many nieces; nephews; friends and relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother Richard.Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ellsworth, Wis., is serving the family.
