Helen H. Broostin, age 81, of Ellsworth, WI died Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Lutheran Home, River Falls, WI.Helen was born on December 7, 1932 in Pine City, MN to Joseph and Hazel Hampe. She married Wendell Broostin in the 1950’s. Together they lived in the Twin Cities area until Wendell’s death in 1977. After which she moved to Wisconsin. Helen worked for Armours for 29 years, the David Motel and Hinck’s Market in Ellsworth. Helen enjoyed country music, watching television, movies, crocheting, flower gardening, word find’s, along with reading magazines and news papers. Helen is survived by her five children: Diane Young, Debra Broostin, Denise Norton, Duane Broostin, and Mark (Carla) Broostin. Special friend Richard D. “Dick” Leonard and his daughters, Debbie, Dawn, and Darla Leonard. She is further survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell, son Jeffrey and her parents.
