Beverly Ruth Thompson, 86, of Cottage Grove, MN, formerly of River Falls, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 27, 2015 at her home.

Beverly was born June 29, 1928 in Belmond, IA the daughter of Leonard and Leota (Hake) Ruka.
She married Richard Thompson on November 19, 1947 in Eagle Grove, IA. Beverly worked for Deluxe Check Printing for 20 years. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, and going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ronald and brother in-law, Ben Hoyer.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard of Cottage Grove, MN.
Devoted mother to her son Nickolas D. (Deb) Thompson, Braham, MN and daughter Kathryn (Bill) Kortus, Maplewood, MN.

Loving grandmother to: Amy Anderson, Jason Kortus, Lindsey Kortus, Michele Hintzman, Heather (Aaron) Will, and Corrie (Jason) Teske.

She is further survived by great-grandchildren, sisters, Janean Hoyer and Lynn (Bob) Constantine, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Beverly will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, WI.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls, WI. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
