Adeline Exelia Langer

Adeline E. Langer, 98, of Ellsworth, WI died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Mayo Health Systems, Red Wing, MN.

Adeline was born on February 22, 1917 in Spring Valley, WI the daughter of C. Arthur and Marie (Ray) Brooke. She married Harold Langer on November 23, 1938 in Spring Valley. Together they ran Langer’s Bar in the Town of El Paso for the next 44 years, retiring in 1982. Harold died in 1990. Adeline loved fishing the Rush River, playing Euchre and socializing with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth.
Adeline is survived by her three sons: Wayne (Carole) Langer, Tom Langer, both of Ellsworth and Gerald Langer (Mary) of Green Bay, WI; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Ada Hughes, Spring Valley, WI, Gloria Duffy, River Falls, WI, and Dick Brooke, Woodbury, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Harold, parents Art and Marie Brooke, one sister Eunice Dahms, and six brothers: Walt, Colburn “Cub”, Byron, John “Sonny”, Bob, and Dale Brooke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30am, Monday, October 5, 2015 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Francis Catholic Church from 2-6pm on Sunday and for one hour prior to the Mass on Monday.
