Lorraine L. Thom, 103, years old, of Ellsworth, WI died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Kinnic Health And Rehab. Center, River Falls, WI.
Lorraine was born on February 25, 1913 in River Falls, WI the daughter of Charles and Martha (Hanson) Stewart. She attended the Donegal School in the Cherma area of River Falls and later was a graduate of River Falls Normal School. Lorriane married Fred Thom at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Big River. She was a stay at home wife and mom for most of her life and in 1955 she entered the work force, working at the Red Wing Shoe Company and later Smead Manufacturing, retiring at the age of 77 in 1989.
Lorraine loved the holidays and was a fabulous cook. She loved spending time with her childrenand grandchildren, going on Sunday drives in the country, flower and vegetable gardening. She had a great memory and never forgot a thing.

Lorraine is survived by her three children: Rollie Thom, Darlene Sachsenmaier, and Richard (Kay) Thom.
Nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Ron, daughter in-law Rose Thom and son in-law Gus Sachsenmaier, brother Ronald and sister Violet.
Funeral services for Lorraine will be at 1:00pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, (Big River) River Falls, WI.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday.
