Leonard “Lenny” Allen Brenna

Leonard “Lenny” Allen Brenna, age 69, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at his home in River Falls.

Born on April 20, 1947 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Lenny was the son of Robert Leonard and Lorretta June Marie (Vance) Brenna and the eldest of six brothers.

Lenny graduated from River Falls High School in 1965. He suffered a debilitating injury while in High School that restricted his athletic activities. Not to be held down, Lenny went onto play slow pitch softball with the very successful “Danny’s Green Lantern” team. He was the starting pitcher for more than a dozen years and was voted “MVP” on several occasions.

Lenny earned his Broadcasting Degree from Brown Institute. He worked the midnight show as a Disc Jockey in Watertown, South Dakota, where he was affectionately referred to as “Late Night Lenny”. Everyone that knew Lenny appreciated his “Gift of Gab”. He was a major sports enthusiast; following the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He loved to tell a good story and will be long remembered, by those who loved him, for his laugh, kindness and gentle heart.

Lenny is survived by his daughter Kelly Brenna Luckey (Judd) and grandson Benjamin Cooper Luckey of Scotts Valley, California, mother of Kelly and former spouse, Ruth Ann (Sabby) Teppen, brothers, Robert Lee (Vickie), David Terry (Elly), Jeffery Dean (Cheryl), Randall Paul and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Jack Bradley Luckey, brother Steven Douglas (Char) Brenna, nephew Brandon Paul Brenna and his parents.

A visitation and luncheon will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, 202 S. 2nd Street, River Falls, Wisconsin from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a service at 3:30pm.
