Beverly Ann Schmitt

Beverly Ann Schmitt, age 78, of Ellsworth, WI, went home to be with the Angels on, March 1, 2017 at Brotoloc Cedar House, Ellsworth, WI.

Beverly was born at home in Exile, WI on May 29, 1938, the daughter of Joseph and Viola (Schladweiler) Schmitt. Bev lived for over 40 years with her Brotoloc family and at her current residence, the Cedar House for the past 22 years. Bev was very involved with the Ellsworth Area Special Olympics and she worked at the IRC/ProAct sheltered workshop for many years. Beverly loved to sew and embroider, she entered many items in the Pierce County Fair and won many ribbons. One of the other activities she liked was to work in the Fair stand. She loved to visit with family and go on trips. She enjoyed going to the casino with her favorite “brother” Bob. She kept busy doing activities and going places with her beloved Brotoloc family.
She was a longtime member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth, WI.

Beverly will be sadly missed by her siblings: Rita (Gordy Johnson) Hampton, Spring Valley, WI; Jerry (Lou) Schmitt, Glendive, MT; Wayne (Doris) Schmitt, Wilson, WI; Leon M. (Ralph Leggett) Schmitt, Palm Springs, CA; JoAnn (Bob) Larson, Plum City, WI; Deb (Quen) Hemann, Stacyville, IA; Denise Krings and Dedra Krings, Maplewood, MN. Many nieces, nephews and her entire Brotoloc family.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Viola (Krings) Schmitt and step father Norbert Krings, and an infant brother Peter Schmitt. Niece Donna Hampton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30a.m., Tuesday March 7, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth, WI. Fr. Eric Dadson will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Plum City, WI. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., until the time of service at the Church.
