Edward August Tronnier, 87 of River Falls, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Wisconsin National Memorial Veterans home in King, Wisconsin.
Ed was born on February 6, 1930 in River Falls. His family moved to Prescott WI when he was entering the fifth grade. He graduated from Prescott High School in 1948. After high school he enlisted in the Army he served 16 months in the Korean War. He was a proud American who was honored to serve for his country. Ed, a talented craftsman and artist was also a huge fan of car racing and a proud supporter of both River Falls High School and UWRF sports.
On March 2, 1957 Ed married LaVaughn Heilig. He was blessed with an enormous caring and giving heart. He had a charismatic personality that you could not help but smile when you were in his presence. Ed was a man who was never short on jokes and stories. He always found great joy and pleasure in making others laugh. He truly lived, loved and laughed his whole way through life.
Eddie is survived by his wife LaVaughn (Heilig), his five children, David (Debra) of Byron Minnesota, Beth Tabor (Troy) of Arkansaw, WI, Mary Hamilton (Brodie) of Rice Lake, Jean Delisle of Hudson, Carol Shew (Scott) of River Falls. 14 Grand Children, Shane, Jake, Wylie, Jesse, Alyssa, Cassandra, Jada, Heather, Colton, Jacques, August, Paris, Rachel, and Madyson . 4 Great Grand Children, Ryssa, Jude, Miles, and Frida. Brother, Dick (Rosie) Tronnier, Sister and Brother-in-law Kathy( Ken) Hoyer and John Heilig along with many beautiful nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death were his parents, Verna and Edward Tronnier Sr., Sister Tony Gergen, and Brothers Howard and Jim.
A memorial service will be held on April 21, 2017, at the, United Church of Christ, located at 206 Locust St. Prescott WI. Service will begin at 2:00 with a visitation scheduled one hour prior to service, refreshments to follow.
