Ronald Edward Traynor

Ronald E. Traynor, 87 of Ellsworth, WI died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 23, 2017. He was born January 6, 1930, to Basil and Margaret (Minder) Traynor in Rock Elm Township. He married Lorena Richter on January 6, 1951, and served in the US Army from 1951- 1952 in the Korean War. They lived in Red Wing, MN until 1959 when they moved to Hartland Township in rural Ellsworth, WI, and bought a farm where they would spend the rest of their lives.
Ronald will forever be remembered as a loving father, a hard working farmer, and the rock his family leaned upon. He enjoyed polka music, Packer games on TV, good home cooked meals and family get-togethers. He loved the country life, growing his crops and milking his cows.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena, daughter Bonnie Traynor, brothers Roy Traynor and Francis Traynor, sisters Della Larson and LaVerle Maxfield.

Survivors include his children: Betty Duncan, River Falls, Keith Traynor, Ellsworth, Karen Peterson, Ellsworth, grandchildren: Dustin (Liz) Peterson and Matthew Peterson; great grandchildren: Shelby and Jordan Peterson, sisters;Darlene Croes, Beldenville, Barbara Hoyt, Menomonie, and brother Joe (Wanda) Traynor.
Funeral services for Ronald will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, WI. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday June 28, 2017 at Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in Hartland Presbyterian Cemetery.
