Mary Charlotte Batho, age 79 of Ellsworth WI, died on Wednesday morning, January 3, 2018. Mary was born September 1, 1938 in Plum City WI to parents G. Harold and Rachel A. (Sobottka) Batho. Mary resided at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown WI before moving back to the Ellsworth area to be closer to family.

Mary lived as an example of how others should live their lives… always positive, and always smiling! Her sunny disposition brought delight to all she crossed paths with. Mary enjoyed being outdoors, needlepoint, and word find puzzles. She was especially fond of going out to eat, and ordering shrimp when she did. She loved going on trips with friends. Above all though, Mary cherished time spent with her family, and being around the children.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Lorna Schultz of Menomonie, Jill Svoboda of Circle Pines MN, Carol Batho of Plum City, and Amy (Gary) Mewes of Ft. Wayne IN; brother, Arthur (Sharon) Batho of Plum City; aunt, Dorothy Clare of Plum City; uncle, Ronald Sobottka of Portland OR; three generations of nieces and nephews; and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Clark Batho; and brother-in-law, Eldon Schultz.

Memorial Services for Mary Batho will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 8th at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, 130 N Grant Street in Ellsworth WI. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to services. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home and Trusted Cremation Provider of Ellsworth WI. 715-273-4421
