James D. Harelson, age 61 of Ellsworth WI and formerly of the Black River Falls area, died on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. James was born on June 4, 1956 in Black River Falls WI; the son of John and Helen (Netzell) Harelson. He is survived by his family and extended family from Black River Falls, and his Brotoloc family, where he was a resident for over 10 years.

James had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh, as well as socialize, smile and shine for the ladies. He enjoyed being outdoors, and especially enjoyed the many holidays throughout each year. James fancied himself a singer, and liked to serenade those around him with his favorite song, “Kansas City Lights”. He will be missed by many who will cherish the memory of his long goodbyes.

Funeral Services for James Harelson will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, 130 N Grant St in Ellsworth WI. Visitation will begin one hour prior, at 10:00am. James will be laid to rest at the Brookside Cemetery in Millston WI.
