Rosella Anna (Pechacek) Huppert, age 83 of Ellsworth, WI. passed away peacefully on March 18, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Rosella was born on May 16, 1934 in River Falls, WI, the youngest of five children born to Edward and Anna (Anderle) Pechacek. She graduated in 1951 from River Falls High School. Rosella was united in marriage to Leo T. Huppert on September 9, 1953 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls. Five children, Sharon, Larry, Lynn, Sharlene, and Lon were born to this union.
Leo T. and Rosella farmed most of their married life in Ellsworth where they raised their family. They worked hard keeping their farm beautiful. Rosella was known for her flowers she planted and for being an avid gardener where she not only raised food for the table, but also pumpkins, gourds, and Indian corn. She would use these to decorate and would sell them. She was a full-blooded Bohemian and loved making her famous kolaches. Rosella’s love for God was great. She was a member of the St. Francis Altar and Rosary Society and delivered communion to the homebound of the parish.
Rosella will remain in the hearts of her children Larry T. (Judith) Huppert, Lynn Huppert, Sharlene (Chuck) Kreye, and Lon (Julie) Huppert; son-in-law Alan P. Hines; grandchildren Crystal (Eric) Francksen, Chad (Lisa) Kreye, Anna, Mary, and Theresa Huppert; great grandchildren James, Oscar, and Henry Francksen, and Zaylee Kreye.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leo T. Huppert, daughter Sharon Hines; parents Edward and Anna Pechacek; siblings Marcella, Roman, Marvin, and Arnold Pechacek.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 Monday March 26th at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth with Father Eric Dadson officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pm to 8pm on Sunday March 25th ALSO at St. Francis Catholic Church as well as one hour prior to the mass at church Monday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family and will be used at their discretion for the community in Rosella’s name. Funeral services have been entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home of Ellsworth.
