Mitchell T. Averbeck, age 23 of Prescott WI, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, October 12, 2018. Mitchell was born June 16, 1995 in Hastings MN to parents Thomas and Alice (Sammann) Averbeck. Mitchell attended schools in Prescott, and graduated from Prescott High School with the Class of 2014. Mitchell furthered his education and was an Honor Grad at WITC, earning his Associates degree as a Machinist. Mitchell was a skilled Machinist who worked with the Henkel Corp in Prescott.

Outside of work, Mitchell could be found outdoors. Whether hunting and fishing, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, or driving his Jeep, Mitchell loved spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed playing baseball, operating radio-controlled aircraft, and cutting wood and helping out around the family farm in Alma. Mitchell lived his life showing kindness to others, and had a special place in his heart for spending time with family. He will be missed by many.

Mitchell is survived by his parents, Tom and Allie Averbeck; his sister, Alexia; his grandmothers, Joan Averbeck and Ruth Grulkowski; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Averbeck and Dean Sammann.

Mitchell’s life will be celebrated with a Gathering of Family and Friends on Saturday, October 20th from 4:00-7:00pm at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral, Home, 1339 Orrin Road in Prescott WI. A private family burial will be held. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
