Charlotte Marie Ann Beyer, age 84, of Ellsworth, passed away peacefully November 27, 2019 at her home. Charlotte was born August 6, 1935 in West St. Paul, MN, the daughter of John and Lillian (Voshell) Schmolke. Charlotte attended South St. Paul High School. In 1952, Char was united in marriage to Harley Keck, sharing 28 years together, and blessings of four children: Lynda, Lonnie, Larry, and Leonard. On May 23, 1981, Char was remarried to Henry J. Beyer, and gained three step-sons, Doug, Theodore, and Reinhart. Char worked as meal site manager for Pierce County for many years, retiring in 2000.

Most important to Charlotte was her faith and her family. She treasured her time spent with her children and grandchildren. Char delighted in cooking and baking for family get-togethers, and took great joy in having her family close. In her quiet time, Char enjoyed playing the piano and knitting. She also loved her time playing cards and dominoes with friends. Char had a gracious and caring heart, and was always willing to lend a hand to others, especially her family and church family at the Durand Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Charlotte will remain in the hearts of her children, Lynda (Rick) Jacobsen, Lonnie Keck, Larry (Dana) Keck, Leonard Keck, Douglas (Patti) Beyer, Theodore Beyer, Reinhart (Faye) Beyer; daughter-in-law, Dory Keck; 12 beloved grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Jeremy; nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and her faithful companion, Rascal. A special thank you to Karen Larson and Gretchen Phillips who were so dear and lovingly cared for Charlotte, so she could spend her final days at her home. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents; and brother-in-law, Jim Jeremy.

A Visitation will take place 1:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth, as well as one hour prior to the service Monday. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 2, 2019 at O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, with Pastor John Johansen officiating. Casketbearers assisting with the services will be: Anders Beyer, Lance Keck, Madisen Keck, Noah Keck, Kristina York, and Bill Larson.
