Roger Pulk

Roger William “Bud” Pulk, age 93 of Ellsworth, WI, passed away December 8, 2019 at the Preferred Senior Living in Ellsworth. Roger was born December 13, 1925 in El Paso, WI, to John and Alice (Haster) Pulk. Roger was united in marriage to Helen Holt, who preceded him in death. He later was united in marriage to Joyce E. Bayne on February 15, 1967, and they shared many wonderful years together. Roger’s life was blessed with six children. In his early years, Roger worked for Pierce County, and then embarked on a 36 year career with 3M Chemolite in Cottage Grove. Roger lived in Ellsworth for most of his life, and also enjoyed his time at his lake home on Blake Lake for 40 years. Roger was fortunate to spend his winters in Tucson, AZ for 22 years.

Roger appreciated the peacefulness of the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He delighted in a good game of cards, and was especially fond of euchre and solitaire. He was also a devoted Green Bay Packer fan.

Roger will remain in the hearts of his children, John (Gina) Pulk, Jane (Tom) Wider, Dave (Jodi) Pulk, Donald Pulk, and Julie Bayne Sokup; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen; second wife, Joyce; his parents, John and Alice Pulk ; son, Randy Bayne; and brother, Stewart Pulk.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, December 13, 2019, on Roger’s birthday, with a time of Remembrance and Sharing at 11:00 AM, at the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth. Private interment will take place at a later date at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Ellsworth.
