Carolyn Joann Peterson, age 57 of Ellsworth, passed away unexpectedly December 11, 2019 at her home. Carolyn was born October 6, 1962 in River Falls, WI, daughter of Glenn and Delaine (Helmer) Peterson. Carolyn attended River Falls High School, with the Class of 1980. Carolyn’s life was blessed with two sons, Marcus and Jonathan. Carolyn worked for MN Rubber and Plastics as a Medical Assembler.

Carolyn’s greatest joy was her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister. She was beyond proud of her sons, adored her grandsons, and loved being called “Mimi.” Carolyn’s heart was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, cooking, and preparing for the Holidays. Carolyn had a gracious heart, welcoming anyone into her home and family. She was generous and caring, and always willing to help those around her. Carolyn had a strong and dedicated work ethic, and took pride in everything she did. She enjoyed traveling, with some of her favorite destinations being California, Hawaii, New York, Denver, and the Grand Canyon. She delighted in sharing many of those travel adventures with her sons, and making each moment count.

Carolyn will remain in the hearts of her sons, Marcus (Dan) Peterson and Jonathan (Serena) Peterson; grandsons, Jaxon and Franklin; siblings: Barbara (Ernie) Punches, Steven (Charlene) Peterson, Virginia (Terry) Bishop, Kathryn (Richard) Rice, and Kevin Peterson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends, and beloved community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Delaine Peterson.

A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will take place 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Clyde’s Corner, W7409 WI-65, Beldenville. Memorials are preferred. Cremation services are entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home of Ellsworth (715) 273-4421.
