Arlene Laura Siewelo

Arlene Laura Siewelo, age 88 of Prescott, WI died on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Arlene was born December 1, 1931 in Hager City, WI to parents George and Clara (Deiss) Armbruster. Arlene was a graduate of Prescott High School. On June 6, 1953 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Big River, she was united in marriage to Edward Siewelo. Their union in marriage was blessed with three children, two generations of grandchildren, and over 66 years of love and devotion.

Arlene worked for over thirty years as a Teacher’s Aide with the Ellsworth School District. Outside of work, she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, vegetable and flower gardening, as well as embroidery and making blankets. As a parishioner at St. Mary’s Big River, Arlene was active in church groups. She loved music and also sang in the choir, and was well known for her famous red devil’s food cake. Arlene will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Arlene is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edward; her children, Greg (Kathy) Siewelo of River Falls, Mary (Don) Acker of Bay City, and Chrissy (James) Petersen of Prescott; grandchildren, Kate (Jed) Watters, Kim (David) Olson, Calvin Acker, Jason (Kate) Acker, and Amanda (Eric) Johnson; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Herbert, Marge, Melva, Verna Mae, and Don.

Mass of Christian Burial for Arlene Siewelo will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 28th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Big River, W10137 570th Ave, in rural River Falls, WI, with Rev. Fr. Kevin Louis officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Big River.
