Dennis Richard Anderson

Dennis Richard Anderson age 67 of Hager City, WI, passed away at Mayo Health Systems Methodist Campus, Rochester, MN, February 10, 2020 following a courageous battle with cancer. Dennis was born on October 3, 1952 in Red Wing, Minnesota; the son of Richard and Bonnie (Peterson) Anderson. He attended Wilson Country School and Lindgren Elementary schools prior to graduating from the Ellsworth High School. But the majority of his lessons were learned right on the farm from his dad. He learned the value of hard work, the principles of not being afraid of getting your hands dirty, and the commandment of “If your going to do something, do it right the first time!” His work ethic and family values were passed onto his children. In 1976, he would be married to the former Sherrie Stockwell. This union would be graced with children Jeremy, Kelly, and Stacey. This union would later dissolve. On August 3, 1985, he married the love of his life Donna Sue Busch at the Bethel Covenant Church. This union would be graced with daughter Lyndsey.
For anyone who knew Dennis, they quickly came to appreciate his genuineness, integrity, and character. He was looked up to in the community as a leader, yet was a great influence to those he loved the most; his family and friends. He became endeared as a school bus driver for the Ellsworth School District which he proudly did for forty-two years. Loving his hometown, he served thirty-five years on the Trenton Town Board. While serving this role, he took much pleasure from his role on the ambulance and fire board. Earlier, he was a gifted seed corn salesman for Golden Harvest where he not only could sell a pitch, but he could back up his words. He and Donna shared many special trips but his time spent in Alaska was most special. When Dennis wasn’t perfecting his plow lines in the field, he was meandering around the farm on his Gator making sure his plow lines were just right!
Dennis will forever live on in the hearts of his wife Donna; children Jeremy (Dulcie) Anderson of Hager City, Kelly (Jennifer) Anderson of Hager City, Stacey (Adam Lenz) Anderson of Hager City, Lyndsey Anderson of Hager City; grandchildren Kali (Andrew), Roslind, Riley, Braydon, Landon; his mother Bonnie Anderson of Hager City, Brother Glen (Cheryl) Anderson of Hager City; nephew Travis Anderson; and a host of other relatives and countless friends. His dad Richard and nephew Aaron Anderson precede him in death
